About the Role
This role has been created as a 24-month temporary opportunity to support Council's enterprise transformation program, including the implementation of TechnologyOne CiA and a range of business improvement initiatives.
As our Business Analyst, you will play a key role in driving business improvement, enterprise system implementation and organisational transformation across Narrabri Shire Council.
Working closely with stakeholders from across the organisation, you will analyse business processes, identify opportunities for improvement and support the successful delivery of strategic projects. This role provides a unique opportunity to influence how Council delivers services, improve organisational capability and help maximise value from Council's technology investments.
As the Business Analyst, you will:
- Lead the analysis, mapping and review of business processes to identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency and service enhancement.
- Gather, document and prioritise business requirements to support enterprise systems, technology initiatives and organisational projects.
- Support the successful implementation of TechnologyOne CiA and other enterprise system projects through business analysis, testing, business readiness and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Facilitate workshops and consultation sessions with staff, managers and project stakeholders to understand operational needs and develop practical solutions.
- Coordinate business readiness activities including process reviews, data validation, user acceptance testing and implementation planning.
- Develop business cases, process maps, reports and recommendations to support informed decision-making and project governance.
- Monitor project progress, risks, issues and dependencies, providing timely analysis and recommendations to support successful project outcomes.
- Support organisational change initiatives by fostering collaboration between business units, subject matter experts, project teams and technology partners.
- Contribute to the development of internal capability in business analysis, continuous improvement and project delivery practices.

About You
As our Business Analyst, you are a collaborative and solutions-focused professional with strong analytical skills and a genuine passion for improving the way organisations operate.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience in business analysis, process mapping and requirements gathering.
- Experience supporting enterprise systems, business improvement initiatives or organisational transformation projects.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence a broad range of stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
- Experience developing business documentation, reports and recommendations.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with TechnologyOne or similar enterprise systems will be highly regarded.
