About the Role
As a Design and Survey Assistant, you will play a vital role in achieving capital works and service provision objectives by carrying out a range of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Assist in the planning and undertaking of detailed survey and survey set out works.
- Assist with investigations into engineering matters to determine compliance with Australian Standards.
- Utilise Council’s computer-aided design and drafting software packages to assist in the designs of detailed construction plans for proposed works as directed.
- Assist in setting out construction works in the field as directed.
About You
We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual who is passionate about achieving objectives. Our ideal candidate will:
- have demonstrated knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and other technical standards associated with civil engineering.
- have well-developed oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- have a high level of computer literacy including demonstrated experience of Microsoft Office software.
- have demonstrated ability to establish work priorities, meet deadlines and work effectively within a team in an ever-changing environment.
