About the Role

As a Maintenance Trades Officer, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering high quality maintenance services throughout Council's property and asset portfolio. You will ensure that all maintenance and repairs comply with policy, procedures, and relevant standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing maintenance requests, managing consumables, and ensuring that all work is carried out to a high standard in line with Council’s objectives.

Some of the key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Monitor consumables, report on requirements and manage purchasing.
  • Undertake all applicable Customer Service Requests (CSR) or arrange appropriate tradespeople to finalise tasking.
  • Ensure Building and Maintenance Coordinator is aware of all identified maintenance requirements.
  • Liaise and coordinate external trades services for maintenance requirements on Council assets.

About You

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who has a trade qualification and a strong understanding of WHS requirements for construction sites. Your attention to detail and time management skills will be crucial in prioritising workload and completing tasks within approved timeframes and budgets. Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Trade qualification in an area relating to the maintenance and repair of a variety of property and infrastructure (Plastering, Carpentry, Painting).
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering general maintenance services, including minor repairs to a variety of property and assets infrastructure.
  • Sound computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated competency in the use and care of tools or equipment relevant to the duties.
