ABOUT THE ROLE

Parks and Open Spaces have an exciting opportunity for an internal applicant to showcase their commitment and desire for career progression. We are seeking interest for our Parks and Open Spaces Coordinator in Boggabri for a 6-month period. You will be responsible for the coordination and presentation of Councils managed parks, reserves, open spaces, cemeteries, public amenities and the Boggabri Central Business District. 

Some of the key responsibilities for this role include: 

  • Provide support and direction to staff to help them effectively carry out their duties. 
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify cost effective opportunities to improve the aesthetic appeal and functionality of public places.
  • Assist the Manager Parks and Open Spaces to monitor and control revenue and expenditure budgets.
  • Undertake administration duties relevant to the role including processing internal correspondence and compiling information for reports and private works quotation's.

ABOUT YOU

  • Excellent problem-solving, decision making and time management skills.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience or skills.
  • Strong risk management abilities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
