An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated individual to join Council's Projects and Assets team in the role of Contracts and Projects Coordinator. The role of the Contracts and Projects Coordinator is a pivotal role aimed at increasing the project delivery capacity of the Infrastructure Delivery team. You will be responsible to deliver internal support to the infrastructure team in Procurement through contracts system and project delivery administration in accordance with Council's project management systems, as well as overseeing contract and tendering processes to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

About the Role

As our Contracts and Projects Coordinator, some of your day-to-day responsibilities will be: 

  • Contract management, project scheduling, and financial analysis will directly contribute to the successful delivery of capital works and maintenance activities, allowing us to serve our community more effectively
  • Oversee contract management and ensure compliance with legislative requirements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to optimise project outcomes and asset management practices
  • Utilise advanced technologies to streamline project delivery and reporting processes

About You

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual with a solid background in contract and project management within the local government or related sectors. As our ideal candidate, you will demonstrate: 

  • Qualifications or demonstrated industry experience in Contract Management, Procurement, and Project Management.
  • Proven track record in project and budget management with strong analytical skills.
  • Experience in utilising Asset Management Information Systems for efficient data handling and reporting.
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety, actively promoting a zero-harm environment and exceptional attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
