ABOUT THE ROLE
The Waste Facility Team Leader is responsible for overseeing daily operations at the Narrabri Waste Facility and eight (8) transfer stations across the shire. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and operational standards of the facility and ensuring proper waste segregation and disposal methods are followed. The responsibilities of the role include:
- Safely undertake all duties relevant to the Narrabri Waste Facility’s operations and maintenance activities.
- Supervise and provide direction to staff, contractors and visitors at the Narrabri landfill and transfer stations to ensure waste is segregated and placed in the correct location for recycling or disposal.
- Check and approve personnel timesheets, rosters and leave entitlements taking into account the business's operational needs.
- Respond to waste emergency situations appropriately and effectively to protect people, assets and the environment.
- Contribute to high levels of communication between other waste attendants by completing toolbox meetings and preparing work schedules.

ABOUT YOU

- A problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills.
- The ability to handle cash and perform financial transactions accurately.
- Basic computer skills and demonstrated use of Microsoft Office Suite.
