As a Contracts Officer, you will be an integral part of our Infrastructure Delivery Directorate, working alongside a passionate and dedicated team.

About The Role

As a Contracts Officer, you will take on a variety of responsibilities that require exceptional attention to detail and strong time management skills. Your proactive approach to workplace health and safety will be crucial in ensuring our projects are executed to the highest standards.

You will be responsible for minute taking at pre-contract tender meetings, preparing quotation documentation, and assisting in the preparation of external consultant briefings. Additionally, you will play a key role in preparing contracts and tenders, as well as assisting with asset mapping and the planning, research, and delivery of grant funding applications specific to our Infrastructure Delivery Directorate. You will also be responsible for:

  • Assist in the implementation and ongoing monitoring and development of all aspects of Council’s Natural Disaster Management System software (Recover), including electronic/GIS recordings.
  • Ensure reporting requirements are met on various grant-funded projects.
  • Maintain annual payment summaries for Council’s Annual Panel contracts.
  • Assist in the updating of management systems’ software, asset databases and GIS maps, as required.

About You

As the ideal candidate, you will be a high motivated individual with a passion for delivering high-quality projects and well as having a high level of written and verbal communication skills, allowing you to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels. Your proficiency in the use of contemporary technologies such as Microsoft Project, Asset Management Planning programs, and the wider Microsoft Office Suite will enable you to work efficiently and effectively. Our ideal candidate has:

  • Has experience in Contracts and Tenders
  • Has exceptional attention to detail
  • Possesses strong time management skills
  • Has a proactive approach to workplace health and safety
  • Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively with a team and also individually
  • Demonstrates strong problem solving skills
