An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and suitably experienced individual to coordinate activities at the Narrabri Airport.

About the Role

In the position of Airport Coordinator, you will oversee the operational excellence and regulatory compliance of the Narrabri Airport, a crucial piece of infrastructure within our community. This role demands a blend of technical expertise and leadership to ensure the aerodrome remains the pinnacle of safety, efficiency, and serviceability. Your days will be filled with diverse activities, such as: 

  • Performing comprehensive aerodrome serviceability inspections, aligning with the highest standards of airside safety and civil aviation safety regulations.
  • Proactively managing wildlife to guarantee the safety and serviceability of aircraft operations.
  • Overseeing the maintenance of airside and landside facilities, ensuring all aspects of the airport's infrastructure meet stringent compliance and quality standards.
  • Supervising airport operations, maintaining a keen focus on emerging and priority issues, and effectively communicating these through established reporting channels.
  • Collaborating closely with management, external stakeholders, and aviation authorities to fortify the airport's infrastructure and operational frameworks.

About You

  • A Certificate III in a relevant field (or equivalent experience) with your sights set on (or already holding) Airport Reporting and Works Safety Officer Certificate.
  • A knack for navigating the complexities of aviation legislation and safety regulations.
  • Great communication skills, ready to liaise with everyone from patrons and ground crew to pilots, ensuring every interaction is first-class.
  • A toolbox of skills ranging from fence repairs to mowing, showcasing your readiness to tackle any task, big or small.
  • Independence, with the ability to problem-solve, prioritise, and manage tasks efficiently, ensuring our airport operations are always ready for takeoff.
