About the Role

In this key position, you'll take the helm in developing, implementing, and managing our asset portfolio, guaranteeing alignment with the council's Asset Management Strategies, as well as adherence to legislative, regulatory, and audit requirements. Your role is not just about oversight; it's about vision. Reporting directly to the Manager Assets and Engineering, you'll play a critical role in creating and rolling out innovative work processes, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the cost-effective, and value-driven management of our assets and execution of works. Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will be:

  • Develop procedures, performance reports and user dashboards which enable efficiencies in the maintenance and management of assets.
  • Minimise costs to Council of asset infrastructure renewals and upgrades.
  • Ensure Asset Management Information Systems are utilised effectively to enhance the organisation’s continuous improvement in Asset Management.
  • Ensure quality asset information within the asset register (current, accurate, complete, and consistency).
  • Maintain and audit asset data and structures within the system for accuracy.
  • Prepare external consultant briefs.
  • Prepare accurate concept and detailed works estimates.
  • Prepare schedules and project plans to works are adequately planned prior to delivery.
  • Assist in the development and preparation of risk management plans to mitigate/minimise risks to the Council and stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of contracts and tenders.

About You

You will be a technical, creative and innovative professional with tertiary qualifications in Engineering and a proven record of achievements managing assets for a large organisation.

You will have demonstrated experience and detailed practical knowledge in Asset Management Information Systems, associated works management and reporting capabilities including data analysis, quality and integrity.
